Protecting our Families, one class at a time
We are brothers who care deeply about our community. We were inspired by the millions of legal Americans who purchased legal firearms during the pandemic to protect their families, their businesses, places of worship and themselves but have no formal training or knowledge of firearms. And because of our love for our community, we want to make sure we share the knowledge, principles, and responsibilities of keeping you safe both in the community and in your home which also includes a very special focus on law abiding women who wish to protect themselves.

With over three decades of experience in City Government, I have collaborated with various law enforcement agencies and currently possess an ACT 235 License, which enables me to engage in personal security services. Helping you gain confidence and understanding in protecting yourself and your family is what drives me every day.
Derick Henshaw SR
I proudly served in the United States Air Force and excelled in marksmanship, earning medals in both rifle and pistol categories. I enjoy training people of all levels and look forward to helping you build the knowledge and skill in the use of your firearm.

Fort Vigil Academy
At Fort Vigil Academy we want to establish a lifelong relationship to help you with your continued training and education. Proper firearm ownership requires refreshing your skills and knowledge for a lifetime. Fort Vigil Academy offers training for everyone: from beginner to advanced. For our instructors, your safety is the top priority. We offer both in-class and on-the-range training. Women train in a women friendly environment where they will feel extremely comfortable at all times. We even have classes for our most precious possession... our kids.
There was so much information I thought I knew, and now I am much more informed. Definitely recommend this class for every homeowner that owns a firearm.
